White House launches the Clean Air in Buildings Challenge
The White House, in conjunction with the EPA, recently launched the Clean Air in Buildings Challenge. The challenge is a call to action for business leaders to assess their indoor air quality and make ventilation and air cleaning improvements to help keep occupants safe and reduce the spread of Covid-19.
One of the four recommendations is to enhance air cleaning by using in-room air cleaning devices. Bluezone® in-room germicidal UV-C air cleaners are scientifically proven, military developed, high capacity, quiet, and low maintenance devices that continuously disinfect the air by killing airborne viruses. Bluezone is the only air treatment device installed on all US aircraft carriers.
Bluezone air cleaning is a visible virus mitigation strategy that demonstrates corporate commitment to staff safety. The Bluezone PK-220 can be placed on the floor, mounted to the wall, or installed into a 2’x4’ drop ceiling opening. An illuminated Bluezone logo confirms unit function and provides clean air confidence to room occupants at whisper quiet operation.
The American Rescue Plan and Bipartisan Infrastructure Law funds can be used to supplement investments in air cleaning in public settings.
